About
About Trebinje Living
An independent editorial publication about the everyday life of a small Herzegovina town.
Trebinje Living is an independent online magazine about life in Trebinje — a small city in the southeast of Herzegovina, a few kilometres from the border with Montenegro and the Adriatic coast. It is a guide, an archive and a love letter, all at once.
What we write about
We cover the things that make a place worth knowing slowly: the baker who opens before sunrise, the coffee shops along the Trebišnjica, the wine routes that start at the edge of town, the festivals that arrive with spring, and the practical details of everyday life — rent, internet, transport, seasons.
Why we exist
Most coverage of Trebinje is written by people passing through. We wanted something written by people who stay. Our writers live here, or have spent long enough here to stop noticing the surface and start noticing the rhythm.
We believe the best travel writing is quietly practical: specific, patient, and useful to both the visitor and the resident.
Our editorial principles
- Independence. We are not paid by anyone to cover anything.
- Accuracy. Details are checked; prices and hours are dated and revisited.
- Locality. We write about Trebinje as it is, not as a postcard.
- Respect. We quote people properly and name their work.
